Q:How Much Time do You Have to Pick up Your Cargo Before You Incur Demurrage Fees?

A:In most cases, the typical shipping lines will authorize 7 days of storage at the ports. This means that the buyer has one week free of charge to pick up their goods. After this Free Time period, each additional day will be charged based on fixed daily rates, excluding the initial week of storage of course.
